Mission: Episode 15 - A Time of Healing
Location: Command Center, Unknown Location
Timeline: Day 2 at 1315

Kayla felt like they'd been walking for a while and so far the entire underwater facility appeared to be abandoned. "I wonder who would put this place here?" She asked rhetorically. To be fair, Kayla did wonder that as they went deeper into the facility before they'd arrived inside of a large control room.

"What is this place?" Rose asked.

Kayla didn't have an answer to the question as she walked between the control stations that lined the walls. A large window that looked out into the ocean was directly in front of her and she came to a stop. "The glass must be really strong or reinforced somehow." She stepped forward and looked at the console in front of her for a moment.

"I think..." Kayla reached down and pressed a button which immediately clicked.

Riley looked over at Kayla when she heard the click, "What was that noise?" She got her answer almost immediately after asking the question when the lights inside the facility started to activate all around them. Several of the consoles also activated.

"It has a power source," Elizabeth said.

Adriana was still concerned about being stuck inside the facility, "Shouldn't we make sure our communicators that we brought with us work?"

"That wouldn't be a bad idea," Elizabeth agreed and activated hers. She looked over at Adriana who was also wearing one.

Adriana heard the chirp and pressed it to close the channel, "Well at least we can talk to each other if we get separated."

Jami was nervously looking around at the various consoles that were in a language she had no chance of ever understanding. "This place is so bizarre," She said after a time. "There's a lot of dust on everything which means the scrubbers aren't working, but there's power?" She asked.

"It would appear so," Dani said.

"I don't like this," Jami said suddenly. "We should just leave and tell our parents this place exists. Let them check into it and make sure it's not dangerous I mean... What happened every time someone unprepared ended up somewhere?" She asked.

Elizabeth knew that answer all too well since Leah ended up being affected by a shard from the ancient race that had attacked them weeks ago. "You're probably right, but aren't you curious?"

"Of course," Jami replied, "That doesn't mean we shouldn't be cautious though."

Riley agreed with Elizabeth, "We shouldn't have messed with that beacon on the beach earlier. Now we're probably stuck several kilometers under the surface of the ocean."

"I don't think it's as bad as all that," Adriana said as she crossed her arms over her chest and leaned against the bulkhead. "Let's figure out what we're dealing with and then we can make a better judgement call. After all some of us have parents who are in Starfleet right?"

Kayla swallowed, "Well, some of us have parents who were in Starfleet, but sure."

"I think we all qualify," Riley said while looking around the room. "All of us have a parent who is actively serving or did serve in Starfleet." She crossed her arms over her chest and watched the others carefully, "That doesn't mean we should meddle."

Danielle agreed with her sister on some level, "We should have stayed away from that beacon," She pointed out like her sister had earlier. "But, we're here now so what's the harm in figuring out what sort of dark secrets this place holds?"

"It's dangerous," Elizabeth said.

Rose nodded, "I think some of us have had our fill of dangerous situations that we shouldn't be subjected to. But, we've held it to a vote thus far so I say we vote again. Who thinks we should call our parents?" She asked.

Riley raised her hand and looked around to see that she wasn't alone, but they'd been outvoted again. "All right," She said. "Does anyone have the proper technical skills to figure it out?" She asked. "The information on the panels look to me like they're in Greek."

"Because it's in a different language," Rose said. "But I recognize it," She pointed out suddenly. "This is in the Belphan language isn't it?"

Elizabeth looked at it after having seen the work her mother had done when they were stranded. Her mother was trying to find a way to reach the Belphans and reviewed their language. "Yeah," She said. "Why would the Belphans have an abandoned facility here though?"

"Probably to watch the Ivaldians or something," Jami suggested. She had voted that they leave and had been overruled. She loved her friends, but didn't feel comfortable being beneath the ocean. "Didn't our parents talk about it or something?"

"Yeah," Adriana said, "Mom talks about it with Dad sometimes," She said of the Captain and Doctor. "The Ivaldians were being watched and it may have led to the war between the two. Do you think they knew about this facility?"

"There's no way to find out unless we can get into the computer and I can't read the panel," Rose said. "I guess we will probably need to alert our parents after all. We'll still get credit for finding this place won't we?"

Adriana chuckled a little bit, "Credit?"

"Well yeah," Rose said with a nod. "We did make a discovery and if I remember how it works correctly, we would get credit for finding this place. Who knows what sorts of secrets may be here."

"Okay," Elizabeth said with a shrug.

Riley looked at the others, "Are we satisfied with what little we found or do we need to be more adventurous?" She asked them. She could tell that Jami wasn't comfortable and took her gently by the hand.

Jami took a deep breath and squeezed gently, "I don't know that there's really anything else we can do."

Adriana could tell that the wind was gently blowing in the direction of them contacting people who could actually learn something. She was saddened by this, "All in favor of notifying Starfleet?" She asked. This time her hand went up as did the rest of them. "Okay," She said.

Elizabeth sighed and activated the communicator on her shirt, "Elizabeth de Planca to Ops."

=/="Elizabeth?" Lieutenant Hargraves asked, "What are you doing on the channel?"=/=

Elizabeth rubbed the bridge of her nose, "My friends and I found a beacon and were somehow transported to an underwater base. Is there any way some help could be sent?" She asked.

=/=Hargraves was surprised to hear what the teen was telling him, "All right," He replied. "I'll work on sending help right away. Just stay put okay?" He asked rhetorically. "If you need anything open the channel back up."=/=

Elizabeth heard the channel close, "What do we want to do in the meantime?" She asked.

Danielle was looking at the panel, "We could just stand here and talk?" She asked the others. It would probably be an hour or two before they were rescued and it sounded like they didn't just want to beam the girls out either which was okay for the time being...
