Mission: Episode 14 - Synthesis
Location: Briefing Room, Starfleet Medical Center
Timeline: Day 1 at 1600

Neela was the last to enter the briefing room and found that her senior officers had all arrived just before her. There must have also been chatter going on because they fell quiet when she walked in. "Good afternoon," She said and stopped at her end of the table.

"I thought it best to call this meeting to figure out where we are at," Neela said just before she sat down. "Commander Naadel?"

Iazil leaned forward in the seat, "Well, I think it would be best if we started with Security first." The Exec said. She looked over at Jeffery and waved her hand, "The floor is yours Commander."

Jeff wasn't quite ready to be the one to start this meeting off, "Oh well," He said and cleared his throat. "Well, I think I've already debriefed the Captain and Commander at some point on the situation going on in Javelin City. With the government choosing to pardon Mister Balar?"

Chelsea blinked, "Well, that will bode well with the de Planca family," she said. "Didn't you prove that it was him or something?" She asked Jeff.

Jeff shook his head, "We were never fully able to confirm that, but the Governor's decision to pardon him provides a bit of certain guilt on his part. We have reason to believe he was involved in Ashley's kidnapping."

Reid looked around the room, "Well, maybe the de Planca family will handle it better than what we expect?"

Yvanka sighed and looked at Kara, "Have you spoken with them?"

Kara shook her head, "I've not had the chance to speak with them, however, with this piece of information I will make a point to do so." She said and crossed her arms over her chest. "In fact I'm a bit surprised that the planetary Governor would take such a measure in the first place."

Jeff shrugged, "We've got our hands full with other problems at the moment. The Tuitchev Syndicate has appeared to completely disbanded and we are checking leads on that front."

Gredrol was tapping the table when he heard that, "My contacts on the planet have confirmed that it's all a ploy to get Starfleet and the Ebon Cabal off her back while she rebuilds her organization."

"What's your proof?" S'Toriin asked.

Gredrol presented a datapad, "I have three operatives that are deeply embedded in the organization. Nika has withdrawn much of her day to day operations. Right now they seem to be trying to make sense of the Trax Balar situation."

"Intriguing," Stephen replied.

Neela nodded, "Intriguing indeed Commander," She replied. "Commander Gredrol can you keep close tabs on the situation and report directly to myself and Commander Washington? Coordinate your efforts together, but be discreet about it."

Gredrol grinned, "Of course Captain." He replied.

Jeff was thankful for the help from the Klingon officer, "I will gladly coordinate my efforts," He said. "Continuing with my report, the crime wave that has taken a bit of a toll seems to have died down a little bit. I don't know if this is in response to the government hiring out their security or an increase in our presence. But, we are keeping close tabs on that."

Iazil nodded, "Thanks Commander." She said then looked at Yvanka, "Commander Dravex?"

Yvanka tapped on a few panels which created a holographic image in the middle of the table. "We have narrowed down the search for this lost city. We believe it is in this deep oceanic region near Tekev Marshland and are checking into it.

"The plan is to attempt to locate any sort of communication signal and lock onto it. We can then attempt to contact them via the communications network before we just appear at their door step and greet them." She said.

Chelsea thought this was an interesting strategy, "Our teams on the ship have found what we believe to be non-functional communication equipment on the ship. I can forward you the results of that?"

Yvanka grinned, "That would be excellent. We also have reports from Lieutenant Korti regarding the stalagmite that was found. It is a biological organism."

Neela immediately found herself very interested indeed, "Oh really?" She asked. A grin appeared on her face, "I'll have to read the reports for myself, was there further information?"

Yvanka looked through what she had so far, "The organisms found inside the ship are older, but the team is still working out the details. I'll keep you updated Captain." She looked at Commander Naadel, "That's all I have."

Iazil looked at Kara and Stephen, "Medical and psychological?"

Kara decided to go first, "I have my report ready Commander." She said, "We've received a number of appointment requests from both Starfleet personnel and civilians. Some of note are for Leah Reade and Bianca Bancroft," She said. "I'm attempting to get Kelsi to come see me, but so far I've been unsuccessful."

Chelsea frowned, "I can order her to come see you?"

Kara shook her head, "I wouldn't press the matter right now Commander. But, I'll let you know if I need any help."

Stephen sighed, "On the Kelsi Dawson front she's medically doing well. Her pregnancy for all intents and purposes is moving along healthily so far. Given her traumas the baby is at least doing well."

"Well that's a plus then," Reid said. "I've been trying to reach out to her, but I've been unsuccessful so far." He said.

"You're not alone," S'Toriin said, "A lot of us have been trying to talk to her Captain," He said as he looked from Reid over to the Captain. "So far she's been rather quiet with us."

Neela nodded, "Maybe I'll give it a shot myself," She said.

Kara thought it over, "Just be cautious Captain," She warned, "But, you shouldn't have any issues."

Neela nodded, "I'll do just that."

Stephen gave a nod before continuing with his medical report, "The radiation around Akorem Village continues to diminish. I would say another two or three weeks and it should be livable again. That's really all I have left," He said after reviewing his notes.

Iazil nodded, "Lieutenant Hoseki?"

Reid didn't have much, "The runabouts have been reconfigured for underwater travel. I've also been informed that Howard Morgan was approved to begin construction of his orbital platforms?"

"That is correct," Chelsea told him.

Reid nodded, "I will have two of our runabouts ready for his use then." He said.

Iazil looked at the Lieutenant, "Thanks Mister Hoseki," She turned to Gredrol, "Besides your intelligence report regarding the Tiutchev Syndicate do you have anything further to add?"

Gredrol looked over his notes, "I'm attempting to compile a list of the small few ships that are operating in the Delta Quadrant. So far I've got nothing to report on them though."

She smiled, "Thank you," Iazil said. She looked at Commander McDanielson, "Engineering?"

Chelsea read through her notes, "Engineering has taken full control over the space station. We are attempting to get the decks from one through two hundred completed by the end of the month. The goal is to make the station livable as quickly as possible. Most of our efforts are focused there."

Neela nodded, "Any luck with finding a solution to the planetary stability?"

Chelsea shook her head, "Not on our part no. We have planetary stabilizers in place, but our main focus is on the station and getting the materials to begin constructing a small portion of orbital platforms for starship maintenance and repair."

Chelsea took a deep breath, "I'll keep Commander Naadel and you informed though." She said, "I have nothing further."

Iazil nodded, "Commander S'Toriin?"

S'Toriin looked over his notes, "Operations has left much of the repair work for the station up to engineering. We've began to focus on getting a base of operations for the planet done. If anything at least it'll be a temporary solution to the problem. So far we have some of the primary buildings started and hope to have them finished by the end of the week.

"Civilian and government officials have been assisting us with much of the work and part of security has as well," S'Toriin said, "It is making for quicker work."

Iazil nodded, "Thank you Commander." She said and looked at the Captain, "I don't have anything further do you?"

Neela knew it was getting late, "Nah I think that's enough information for now. Help each other out because we're going to need to work together to get this problem fixed. Keep me updated on your progress," She looked at the report list she had. "You're providing detailed reports and it's most helpful." She looked at each one of them in turn.

"Dismissed." She said.
