Personality & Traits

General Overview Valencia, for the most part, is a quiet and content young woman who has many traits common with people in the scientific fields of study. She is very curious and tries almost anything one time before determining whether or not she likes it. The two years she spent away from her parents seems to have had little impact on her.

Valencia wishes to continue to learn and grow both as a scientist and a person. She dreams of one day sitting in the center chair of her own starship like most other young officers. For now though, while Valencia is very career driven, she is focused on learning about other cultures and bettering herself as a scientist.

Personal History Valencia was born in 2367 on board the USS Fort Worth where her mother Esmeralda was a science officer and her father was one of the biologists on board. In 2373 when she was six years old the Dominion War broke out and she was moved to live with her grandparents in the city of Madrid back on Earth.

She lived there for two years only getting the occasional word from her parents that they were both alright. Luckily for her at the end of the war her parents were among the few to survive the war and when her mother transferred to Starfleet Academy to teach physics and her father came along to teach biology she moved back in with them.

It was there that Valencia gained an interest in history and those people and life that had come before her. She began focusing towards attending Starfleet Academy one day in order to become an archaeologist. In 2385 she finally got her wish when she successfully passed the Starfleet entry examinations and was selected to attend.

Valencia attended four years worth of classes taking her mother's class during her junior year at the academy. And, learning the hard way of course that just because your parent is teaching the class doesn't make it easy. She barely passed the course and determined that physics was definitely not for her. Finally in 2389 Valencia was commissioned as an Ensign before being assigned along with many in her class to the USS Onnar.
