General Overview

Courtney lived a very sheltered life because she was the only child her parents could ever have she was also relatively spoiled too. She saw an opportunity to get away from the planet, though would miss home, and applied to Starfleet Academy. The first few months were relatively rough on her, but she was able to quickly adjust. Now, she looks towards the stars anxiously awaiting her chance to see what else is out there.

Personal History

Courtney Garza was born to Kennedy and Julius Garza in 2367. She is their only child and was born in Madrid, Spain. Garza's parents were unable to have any other children and were lucky enough to have her so when she opted to join Starfleet Academy to become a security officer they were fearful. Eventually they would accept her choice, but it would take all four years of her time there.

In 2389 she graduated from Starfleet Academy and was officially commissioned as an Ensign. Much to her parents' dismay she was assigned to the USS Onnar instead of receiving orders on Earth like they had wanted for their daughter. Courtney however, looked forward to the experiences she was bound to have off-world. Just as the ship was departing from Earth she beamed aboard ready to begin her new life.
